I have had a life-long interest in the arts.

While working as a camera technician in the film industry, I developed a burning need to write. I transitioned to employment as a Technical Writer in the corporate space and began churning out speculative film scripts, in search of the muse (if you’re a romantic). Although I tried several genres – action, thriller, romance, documentary – scriptwriting didn’t satisfy my creative hunger.

It wasn’t until I was ready to ignore the well-meaning advice not to waste all those years in the film industry and switched to writing fiction that my heart began to soar.

Even so, I didn’t believe I was capable of writing a novel; the marathon of fiction writing forms.

Facing this challenge head-on, with the endless rewrites it inevitably entailed, led to the publication of my first novel Redemption in 2017. Around the same time, I became involved in a not-for-profit project that resulted in the publication of Port Fairy Ghost Stories, also in 2017. The book is a collection of the town’s most beloved tales of hauntings and ghostly presences, and proceeds from sales are donated back to the community. The second edition of Port Fairy Ghost Stories was released 26th July 2024.

I recently finished my second novel The Beloved Ghost and am now commencing an historical trilogy (arguably an ultra-marathon), which has been in the research and planning stages in recent years.

So stay tuned because there’s plenty more to come!
